Capital Wine Festival Washington DC
Chris Ferrier was born in BBQ country — Owensboro, Kentucky, home of the Moonlight! He grew up in New Jersey where classic dinner food is the culinary staple that sophisticated diners crave today.
Chris first started working professionally at the Lodge at Pebble Beach where he had the opportunity to work with farmers and developed his passion for regionally prepared dishes.
A graduate from the Culinary Institute of America in 1990, Chef Ferrier worked in some of the finest kitchens in the D.C. area at the Hyatt corporation Chris also served as executive chef at the Boar’s Head Inn, where he formed a strong relationship with local artisan producers who’s ingredients help form the basis for his clean, crisp seasonal dishes which appear on the 2100 Prime menus.
This will be Chef Ferrier first year to serve as chef for this year’s Capital wine Festival and is excited to work with the wineries participating.
